Released on September 9, 2008 by Sire Records exclusively through the iTunes Store. It contains one song, "Swim", from the then-upcoming album The Glass Passenger and three non-album tracks, "Cell Phone", "In Slow Motion (Sleazy Wednesday)" and "At Full Speed". It was originally supposed to include another track from The Glass Passenger, "Annie Use Your Telescope", in place of "At Full Speed", but iTunes incorrectly provided that song. The title In Valleys comes from a lyric in "Bloodshot," another song from The Glass Passenger. The EP was #2 on the iTunes Top Albums charts on the first day of release and fell about 1 spot every day thereafter. The track "Cell Phone" also peaked at #1 on Billboard's "Hot Singles Sales" Chart

I was finally about to go pick it up a couple of days ago, and can't stop listening to it and I can't stop reading the lyrics. i really don't know what i liked better. this song makes me so happy, i've been having it stuck in my head ever since she posted it on her myspace.
