It was originally supposed to include another track from The Glass Passenger, "Annie Use Your Telescope", in place of "At Full Speed", but iTunes incorrectly provided that song. The title In Valleys comes from a lyric in "Bloodshot," another song from The Glass Passenger.

"The ghost overground" is a lyric from "Crashin," an upcoming song on the new album.
